Q: Back pain from a fall, looking for natural back pain treatment.?
I had a stupid fall yesterday that hurt my lower back. This morning I could barley get out of bed. After walking around for a while it felt a little better, at least i could move around a little. I spent $75 at the chiropractor, now he tells me I need to see him a lot like three times a week.
There has to be a better way. Any ideas?
A: I found a book that really helped me with my lower back pain. It’s something new where you learn to adjust yourself instead of seeing a chiropractor all the time. Now I can adjust myself anytime I need, sometimes even when I’m out and about, it’s that easy.
Check out the link for the book. There’s a video there too.
Q: How to find treatment for Lower Back Pain?
My wife is suffering from lower back pain for past 3 months & still the pain persists. We had done aryurvedic treatment, but of no use. Then we went to a neurologist & now having his medicines. But still the pain persists. The pain started after doing some cleaning work at the house for a long time. Can anybody suggest any good remedy or suggest some good doctors for treatment?
A: I empathize with you, been there for many years.
The only thing that has helped is a core of exercises that were specifically related to “my” type of back pain, not the general exercises that are usually given.
I do them upon awakening, mainly three, that really do the trick. If I skip a few days or sit too long, wham, the pain returns. But I can instantly get rid of it.
The key is finding “which” exercises that pinpoint and stretches the area that is stiff and everyone’s area of pain is different.
Depending upon what is causing your back pain, it may only be controlled and not totally eliminated. But you must do something on your own daily, and it should be the “correct” thing.
Just a note, I do visit an excellent massage therapist who gives me deep tissue massages in the areas when I really overdue it, and am suffering from the pain. I personally can’t stress enough how tremendous this is when you find the best therapist for your pain. Once again, pain gone.
Check out below one of the best resources I’ve used now for the past 3 years that assisted me in pinpointing “my” trouble spots and thereby ridding me of the pain.
You can be helped.
Best to you…
Q: Where can I find a clinic, which under takes back pain treatment with out surgery?
A: Your best bet would be with holistic medicine. Not sure where there’s one near you, but look it up in the yellow pages.
Q: What is a good home treatment for lower back pain?
A friend of mine that lives out of town only 1 and half hour drive anyways he’s been having lower back pain for a couple of days now tonight when i was chatting to him on msn i ask him if he had any pain killers he said no and i asked him if he has any money to buy some he said no then i asked him if he had a heating pad and he said no again and i asked him if its any better then it did 2 days ago he said a little and it started when he was sitting down and watching t.v. with his girl friend (its not me) i would like to know is there any home treatment he can do to take away his back pain?
HE HAS NO PAIN KILLS AT ALL AND NO HEATING PAD just want to know what is good HOME TREATMENT HE HAS NO MONEY TO BUY ANYTHING FOR IT.
A: If the pain is originated in the muscles, then stretching, doing strengthening exercises and taking anti inflammatory meds such as ibuprofen will help. If it originates in the bones, that’s a problem for doctors to handle. If it is a muscle problem then, while watching t.v. have him do some stretches on a hard surface. Sit on the bare floor and try different stretch positions to see which ones cause the most pain, and work on those problem areas. Besides that, have him get off of his butt and stop watching so much t.v. The core of the body is the most important part to maintain because his problems will only get worse in the future if he does not do some abdominal or lumbar exercises. Investing in a heat pad will do some good too, but make sure to take aspirin or ibuprofen everyday.
Q: Back Pain Alternative Treatment – What Works for Backache & Back Pain Treatment?
A: Increasing mobility through yoga is a first-level alternative treatment for backache and back pain. Try Yoga cat thrusts where you arch your back while on your hands and knees. Do this for about 5 mins, holding each forward thrust to a count of 5. This will loosen up the tight muscles in your back besides strengthening your torso and arms as well.
Thermal heat wraps are another hands-off option that work. They help keep your back warm and act as a kind of ’sauna belt’ to ease stressed back muscles.
Q: Is there a treatment for back pain caused by epidural?
I had epidural 11 weeks ago when I had my daughter. The injection site was sore for several days, but it went away. Few weeks later I started experiencing sharp pains at the injection site, almost like having it done again. Instead of getting better, it has only gotten worse. I feel that pain even if I lean forward only slightly, and it’s very bad when I bend over.
I was wondering, if there is anything that can be done about it. I heard a chiropractor might be helpful, but my insurance does not cover them. Any suggestions?
Thanks
A: I had the same problem after I gave birth to my son. I had to literally push myself up holding my back if I bent over. I was as if I had a 90 year old woman trapped inside my body. It was almost unbearable. I’m not sure if anything can be done becasue it’s due to the injection and not an actual back disorder.
Q: Who is best doctor for BACK PAIN treatment in Hyderabad,India?

Does anyone know any insurance that covers for this type of problem?
A: medicare & medicaid- muscle relaxers can help! i went to the doctor for pinch nerve/muscle spasms & they gave me flexeril. It really helped! good luck.
Q: What types treatment options are there for back pain and muscle spasms?
I get severe muscular neck and shoulder pain along with muscle spasms in my lower back. It’s not an everyday thing, just every few days I will be really stiff. I was taking Mobic for inflammation for my knees, but my doctor gave me the OK to stop taking that about 5 months ago. I wanted to know if there is any treatment options besides taking a daily medication or going to the chiropractor. Thanks!
A: If you not interested in deep tissue massage and adjustments from a chiropractor then try a physical therapist. Here are exercises from my physical therapist to stretch the neck and strengthen the upperback. Watch your posture while on the computer (sit straight with shoulders back – you can roll up a towel and put it behind your lower back to make sure you’re sitting properly) and sleep on your back at night using either a pillow designed for back sleeping or a rolled up hand towel under your neck as a makeshift cervical roll. Also make sure you do not clench/grind your teeth – the muscle spasms from constant clenching or grinding will end up in your neck, shoulders and upperback as well. You will have to exercise and stretch daily to keep pain free.
Neck: Chin tucks: lay flat on your bed, bring chin towards chest without lifting your head (you’ll feel stretch in back of neck and base of skull), do this 10 times. Side to Side: in same position turn head to left until you feel stretch – hold for 5 seconds, return to normal position. Turn head to right until you feel stretch, hold for 5 seconds, return to normal position. Do this 10 times. Lateral stretch: In same position, tilt head towards shoulder until you feel stretch, hold for 5 seconds, return to normal position. Tilt head towards other shoulder, hold for 5 seconds, return to normal position. Do this 10 times.
Upper back/shoulders: The exercises are called T’s I’s and Y’s. They are so named because you will make the shape of these letters with your body. Lay flat on your bed face down, roll up a hand towel and put it under your forhead (it will align the neck and keep you from squashing your nose). Bring arms out to the side making a “T”. Raise and lower arms 10 times. Next bring arms slightly toward head making a “Y” shape. Raise and lower arms 10 times. Next bring arms along side head making a “I” shape. Raise and lower arms 10 times. Next bring arms down along side your body again making a “I” shape. Raise and lower arms 10 times.
Sorry I do not have exercises for the lower back. Try to be aware of common causes of lower back pain – cheap shoes which lack good support, wearing high heels, flat feet or high arches (a dr. schols insert from your drug store can help with that), poor posture while standing, weak core strength (yoga is good to build core strength).
Q: Chiropractors, Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, Physiotherapy – What is the best treatment for back pain?
Should I go see a Doctor first or an Osteopath? Is yoga a good idea? What works best for pain relief? I’d prefer a natural drug free, holistic approach.
A: I saw my family doctor first who got me the referrals I needed. I’m not sure if you have health plan coverage or not.
I was in a car accident 6 years ago that messed up my back. At the time I took Physio and I saw a Chiropractor – however they both didn’t want me to see the other at the same time – I saw both anyways and it helped me immensely.
Now 6 years after my accident , I take a Yoga class weekly, which gives me relief – make sure you tell the teacher about your back pain and only do what is comfortable. I can’t say the pain doesn’t still come and go, but when after it first happened, I could barely move at all, so I’m thankful for the mobility I do have.
I haven’t tried acupunture or massage, but I found the relief I needed with Chiro & Physio. Just make sure it feels alright, if it doesn’t it might hurt you more than help you in the long run.
Good Luck finding the right treatment for you!
Q: What is the best treatment for chronic back pain??
I was in a recent mvc and been having back pain since. I got steroid injections as follow up but has not really helped the discomfort. Any other suggestions??
A: Have you tried using heat and cold compresses. They sometimes help with your mucsle relaxants.
Q: Back pain treatment options?
I’m an 18 year old male and I’ve been having back pains for quite some time now. I’m debating on weather to go to a massage therapist or a chiropractor. Which seem to be the better idea?
A: You mention that you’ve been having these back pains for a while so you should probably seek medical advice from your doctor, or someone such as a chiropractor. They’ll be able to get to the root of the problem and then make recommendations for treatment. A chiropractor can provide treatment and then advice and exercises to help prevent a reoccurance of the problem.
Q: question regarding prolotherapy treatment for lower back pain?
Is it possible to worsen a chronic pain condition with prolotherapy if you are not injected in exactly the right place. (for example an inexperienced or unskilled doctor who is injecting you in the wrong area.)
Thanks.
A: There is conflicting evidence about its effectiveness and it is an experimental treatment.
In my non-medical opinion, I do believe this is not a safe procedure to try until the medical benefits are established.
Prolotherapy involves the injection of an irritant solution into the area where connective tissue has been weakened or damaged through injury or strain.
It works by irritating the surrounding tissue, causing it to become inflamed, which indicates there is damage/injury. Then it heals itself.
Q: Shoulder and back pain carrying 10kg baby. What treatment?
My baby is 5 months old now and I’m sufferring from shoulder and back pain since he’s 2 months old. If I want to seek for DR’s advice, should I go to GP clinic, specialist, chiropratic, physiotherapists or pain relief clinic?
Anyone has experience with those treatment? How effective? Expensive?
A: If you are breast feeding your child, then I advise to seek either physical therapy or chiropractic care. Any medication given for the pain will be in the breast milk.
