Q: How to find treatment for Lower Back Pain?
My wife is suffering from lower back pain for past 3 months & still the pain persists. We had done aryurvedic treatment, but of no use. Then we went to a neurologist & now having his medicines. But still the pain persists. The pain started after doing some cleaning work at the house for a long time. Can anybody suggest any good remedy or suggest some good doctors for treatment?
A: I empathize with you, been there for many years.
The only thing that has helped is a core of exercises that were specifically related to “my” type of back pain, not the general exercises that are usually given.
I do them upon awakening, mainly three, that really do the trick. If I skip a few days or sit too long, wham, the pain returns. But I can instantly get rid of it.
The key is finding “which” exercises that pinpoint and stretches the area that is stiff and everyone’s area of pain is different.
Depending upon what is causing your back pain, it may only be controlled and not totally eliminated. But you must do something on your own daily, and it should be the “correct” thing.
Just a note, I do visit an excellent massage therapist who gives me deep tissue massages in the areas when I really overdue it, and am suffering from the pain. I personally can’t stress enough how tremendous this is when you find the best therapist for your pain. Once again, pain gone.
Check out below one of the best resources I’ve used now for the past 3 years that assisted me in pinpointing “my” trouble spots and thereby ridding me of the pain.
You can be helped.
Best to you…
Q: What is a good home treatment for lower back pain?
A friend of mine that lives out of town only 1 and half hour drive anyways he’s been having lower back pain for a couple of days now tonight when i was chatting to him on msn i ask him if he had any pain killers he said no and i asked him if he has any money to buy some he said no then i asked him if he had a heating pad and he said no again and i asked him if its any better then it did 2 days ago he said a little and it started when he was sitting down and watching t.v. with his girl friend (its not me) i would like to know is there any home treatment he can do to take away his back pain?
HE HAS NO PAIN KILLS AT ALL AND NO HEATING PAD just want to know what is good HOME TREATMENT HE HAS NO MONEY TO BUY ANYTHING FOR IT.
A: If the pain is originated in the muscles, then stretching, doing strengthening exercises and taking anti inflammatory meds such as ibuprofen will help. If it originates in the bones, that’s a problem for doctors to handle. If it is a muscle problem then, while watching t.v. have him do some stretches on a hard surface. Sit on the bare floor and try different stretch positions to see which ones cause the most pain, and work on those problem areas. Besides that, have him get off of his butt and stop watching so much t.v. The core of the body is the most important part to maintain because his problems will only get worse in the future if he does not do some abdominal or lumbar exercises. Investing in a heat pad will do some good too, but make sure to take aspirin or ibuprofen everyday.
Q: question regarding prolotherapy treatment for lower back pain?
Is it possible to worsen a chronic pain condition with prolotherapy if you are not injected in exactly the right place. (for example an inexperienced or unskilled doctor who is injecting you in the wrong area.)
Thanks.
A: There is conflicting evidence about its effectiveness and it is an experimental treatment.
In my non-medical opinion, I do believe this is not a safe procedure to try until the medical benefits are established.
Prolotherapy involves the injection of an irritant solution into the area where connective tissue has been weakened or damaged through injury or strain.
It works by irritating the surrounding tissue, causing it to become inflamed, which indicates there is damage/injury. Then it heals itself.

A: having his girlfriend give him a little back massage might help but what he needs most is heat.
since he doesn’t have a heating pad or painkillers then tell him to soak in a really warm bath for about 20-30 mins. this should help a little. if he has a dryer in the house-tell him to put a bathtowel in there for about 15 mins to get it nice and warm then fold it up and put it on his back where it hurts-the heat will help soothe it.
don’t put anything in the microwave to heat it up (such as a towel or washcloth) this could start a fire.
hope he feels better

Q: Treatment severe lower back pain?
I work laying sod and lately I have been having bad back pain in my lower back. My grandmother told me to visit her Reiki master and I have been going to him for months now and the pain is just getting worst.
My wife says her homeopath can cure it, but at this point I have almost no money left from the REiki sessions.
Are there any cheaper treatments available?
A: Maybe you are suffering from sciatica.
Sciatica refers to pain experienced along the path of the sciatic nerve, the longest nerve in the body, which runs from the lower back through the pelvis and buttock area, right down to the back of the lower leg.
Sciatica is a fairly common form of lower back and leg pain and is due to the sciatic nerve being irritated or compressed. The pain of sciatica varies from an infrequent discomfort to a continuous, excruciating and debilitating pain.
Sciatica is usually experienced as pain that radiates from your lower back to your buttock and down the back of your leg. This pain may be mild or severe and is sometimes felt as a burning sensation or a sharp jolt. Sciatica may be sudden or insidious in onset and worsen over time.
In some people who suffer from sciatic pain it may be accompanied by a numbness or weakness in the leg or foot as well as a feeling of tingling or pins-and-needles in the toes.
Homeopathic, herbal sciatica remedies can help. See the webpage cited below for more info.
Q: Is there a natural treatment for lower back pain?
I have lower back pain, and have been looking for a natural back pain relief type treatment. What kinds of things can I do? Pilates, yoga, weights, massage are all good, but the only thing that really makes it feel any better is to go to the chiropractor. I get nervous about the adjustment because it usually hurts, but at least I feel better for a few hours, or a few days if I am lucky.
Someone suggested that it has something to do with stress and eating junk food, but I don’t know how that could be. anything about any of that. any suggestions there?
Thanks
A: Strange but true!
When pregnant I had lower back pain but didn’t want to take anything that would cause harm to my baby girl.
A friend told me that pomegranite has exactly the same properties as paracetamol and that eating it regularly would help to ease the pain in my back – I started eating 1 a day for about the last 5 months of my pregnancy and I didn’t have another single episode with a sore back (until the contractions kicked in that is).
So try it, might work for you.

Q: Is it true that Botox can help ease lower back pain?
Just wondering if botox treatments can help ease lower back pain or not? How effective is this treatment for back pain?
A: im not sure I have heard of it being used for low back pain bit it’s often used for trigger points deep in the muscles causing spasm that could be causing low back pain so maybe in that case, yes…
I have trigger points and got injections in my shoulders and neck and they offered to do botox injections in my neck to help the spasms and migraines however I didnt want to risk it due to my autoimmne disease…
I do have a friend with migraines and also has myofascial trigger points and she finds the botox injections to be a miracle and very very helpful for her neck and migraines. It doesnt stop them but it helps to prevent them.
Have you tried a TENS unit.. transcutneous electrical nerve stimulation…. electrodes that can applied to yuour spine and can sometimes help close pain gaits. A lot of people find this helpful. I havve a TENS unit and I like it although it doesnt help my pain enough. I have chronic pain in multiple areas but it does help some pains.
There are other spinal procedures that can be done such as a nerve block etc that can help back pain depending on the cause.
Q: Exercises or other tricks to reduce lower back pain?
I’ve been struggling lately with lower back pain, whenever I stand up for any period of time (10 minutes plus), and especially when I walk. I think maybe I’ve strained the muscles in my lower back, however I cannot simply just stop doing my job which involves a lot of bending over (hold the puns please
)… so how do I reduce lower back pain through treatment or exercise?
A: Believe it or not, you need to strengthen your abs. Having a strong core helps alleviate back pain.
